Franklins International Ltd wishes the Girl Guides a happy Centenary in 2010

Guiding has come a long way since a small group of girls stepped forward at the 1909 Boy Scout rally at Crystal Palace Park and asked Robert Baden – Powell to develop a similar movement especially for them.
100 years to the day, 1.2 million Girlguiding UK members and guests will be attending parties across the United Kingdom to mark this illustrious occasion and, in doing so, launch a year of Centenary Celebrations which will run from the 5th September 2009 to the 20th October 2010.
As a major badge supplier to the Girl Guides, Franklins International Ltd. wishes them a very happy 100th birthday.
